Because TAEF works with children, survivors and vulnerable people, safeguarding is central to how we operate.
Child safeguarding commitment
Everyone working with or for TAEF — staff, volunteers and partners — is expected to protect children from harm. Safeguarding applies to every programme, event and communication we produce.
Protection from exploitation and abuse
We do not tolerate exploitation, abuse, harassment or the misuse of power by anyone associated with our work. Concerns are taken seriously and acted upon.
Confidentiality
Information shared in a report is handled confidentially and only shared with those who must know in order to respond and keep people safe.
Survivor-centred approach
People who report harm are treated with respect and dignity. Their choices, safety and wellbeing guide how a concern is handled.

If you have a safeguarding concern about our work, our staff, our volunteers or our partners, please contact us directly by email at info@tafoundation.org.ng. Mark your message “Safeguarding concern”.
Please do not post sensitive details about a child, a survivor or an incident on any public page, form or social channel. Share only what is needed to make contact; our team will follow up privately.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the relevant statutory authority first.
